Meet Richard Baraneik. He is one of this country's most
remarkable architects and builders.
Why do I say that? Because Baraneik is not yet 30 and he
is operating a business like a man 20 years older than that.
Dick Barancik's father was a doctor and encouraged him
to read Horatio Alger stories. His father urged him to take
a chance, said nothing was gained without it. ,
Since then, Dick Baraneik has been taking plenty of
chances.
Dick does something most other architects would not He
gambles his fee that he can build structures within estimates.
If he can't make the contract which he has done in
nearly every case he stands ready to take the excess out of
his architect's fee. That he says gives the owner of the new
structure confidence.
In the year 1951, the firm that Dick Baraneik heads
Baraneik, Conte and Associates, doubled the business it did
in 1949 and 1950.
So maybe this idea of "taking a chance" in business has
some good points after all. I'm one who always felt it has.
Another explanation of quick success, Dick Baraneik says,
is to get your ideas outside from all over the world.
