The Case of Janet and Ernest Jarvis

If you're one of these persons who believe love and busi-
ness don't mix, then forget it!

To knock this theory in a cocked hat, look at what Janet
and Ernest Jarvis have accomplished together.

Janet and Ernest played together as youngsters. When they
were 13, family reverses forced them both to leave grammar
school and find jobs. At 20 they decided they were meant for
each other and married.

In 1923, after 15 years of working for others, the Jarvis'
took a flier. They risked their $3,500 savings to found and
head their own infant company the Niagara Falls Smelting
and Refining Corporation.

Twenty-one years later they sold out for a million dollars.

Several years later they were back in business as president
and vice-president of Continental Industries, Inc.

In six years they upped the assets of this diversified metal
industry from $9 million to $17 million* They increased
capital and surplus from $1.5 million to $9 million. Last
year sales of alloys, tool steel, tanks, wire, and other products
were close to $40 million and net income hit a peak of
$3,118,000.

Today, Mrs/ Jarvis is recognized internationally as an out-
standing metallurgical engineer, credited with the develop-
ment of grain-size titanium, a medium for plane and
automobile engines.

Their success secret teamwork!!!
